"The World is Quiet Here."

I miss my friends who went home for the summer or who live in different towns from me.

Sometimes I just need them.

"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sometimes I think my friends are pretty cool. Especially when they visit me from out of town. They’re pretty much the best ever.

"If the US weren’t so American, I’d go back there. Yes, I see the irony of that statement, but I also know that you know exactly what I’m talking about." — My friend Chase

"The happiest people are those who think the most interesting thoughts. Those who decide to use leisure as a means of mental development, who love good music, good pictures, good company, good conversation, are the happiest people in the world. And they are not only happy in themselves, they are the cause of happiness in others." — William Phelps

Believe it or not, this is a picture of one of my best friends, Lindsey Goodwin, and myself. She was born 21 years ago on this day. I love her so much and don’t know where I would be without her. I genuinely mean that. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
This picture is supposed to represent the fact that we’ve traveled through so many aspects of life together. She has helped to bring me where I am today, and I know we will continue to be there for each other through the rest of our lives. Allons-y! I love you always, Lindsey. :)
(Also, I may have posted this picture because there are painfully few pictures of the two of us together. Although she looks good in all of them, I look good in none of them. So I used this creeper picture. But I mean what I said about us always being there for each other. I don’t know what I’d do without her.)
